1. The service area must be selected according to the actual usage region of the NAS device. Otherwise, connection failures or other server abnormalities may occur.
2. After the public network penetration service is enabled, mobile or PC clients can log in to CyberData App from an external network environment to remotely operate the NAS device. Once the public network penetration service is disabled, access to CyberData App is limited to the local area network environment.
3. P2P intranet penetration is a technology that allows devices in different local area networks to communicate directly without the need for public IP addresses. This technology is useful in scenarios such as remote work, remote access to internal systems, and remote monitoring.
4. Precautions for the P2P function: P2P is less stable in IPv4-only environments compared to IPv6 environments. If file transfers via P2P frequently fail or download speeds are unstable, try disabling P2P and using only the public network penetration service.
How Set up:
1. On the computer, open the Cyber Cloud software and click the circular icon in the upper right corner to access the Network Access Management page. Users can use this page to view the network mode, set the service region, configure public network penetration service, and manage P2P penetration service.
2. When the computer and the NAS device are on the same local area network, the current network mode is displayed as "High-Speed Intranet Connection." When the computer and the NAS device are under an external network environment, the current network mode is displayed as "Public Network Penetration Connection."
3. Click the service region, then select the desired region and confirm your choice to modify the service region.
4. Enable the public network penetration service to access the Cyber Cloud space from an external network environment.
5. Use the buttons on the operation page to turn the P2P service on or off with one click.
1. The service region must be selected based on the actual usage area of the NAS device; otherwise, connection failures or other server abnormalities may occur.
2. After enabling the public network penetration service, mobile or PC clients can log into CyberData App remotely to operate the NAS device from external networks. Once the public network penetration service is disabled, access to CyberData is only possible within the local area network (LAN) environment.
3. P2P (peer-to-peer) intranet penetration is a technology that allows devices in different LANs to communicate directly without the need for a public IP address. This technology is particularly useful in scenarios such as remote work, remote access to internal network systems, and remote monitoring.
4. Notes on P2P functionality: P2P is less stable in IPv4-only environments compared to IPv6 environments. If frequent file transfer failures or unstable download speeds occur with P2P, it is recommended to disable P2P and rely solely on the public network penetration service.
How to Set up:
1. Open the CyberData app on your mobile device, click the circular icon in the upper right corner to access the Network Access Management page. From this page, users can view network modes, set the service region, configure the public network penetration service, and manage the P2P penetration service.
2. When the mobile phone and the NAS device are on the same local area network, the current network mode is displayed as "High-Speed Intranet Connection."
3. Click on the service region. After selecting a region, click "Choose" to modify the service region.
4. Enable the public network penetration service to log into the Cyber Cloud space from an external network environment.
5. Use the buttons on the operation page to turn the P2P service on or off with a single click.
